Can I try MotionVid before subscribing?
Browse the example videos and templates on the home page to see what MotionVid makes. When you're ready, plans start at $19/month for Starter, which includes 500 credits and 60 video exports.
How do credits work?
Credits pay for generating content: building a video, editing it with the AI, or creating images and AI video clips. Each plan includes a set number of credits every month. Monthly plans refresh credits on your billing date. Annual plans refresh them every month on the day you subscribed. Unused monthly credits don't carry over to the next month.
How many credits does a video use?
It depends on the video's length, detail and mode, and animated graphics cost less than cinematic AI footage. You'll see an estimate before you start a new video. A detailed first prompt gets you the most from your credits, since every edit also uses some.
Which mode should I use?
Motion Graphics is best for explainers, charts, maps and anything with text on screen, which it keeps sharp and spelled correctly. AI Director makes cinematic, realistic footage. Edit My Video adds graphics, captions and b-roll to a video you already recorded.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do anytime from Plan & billing in your account. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for, and any credits from packs stay on your account. You can view your invoices from the same page.
Can I generate video from Claude or Cursor?
Yes. Add MotionVid as a connector in Claude, Claude Code or Cursor, sign in once with your MotionVid account, and your assistant can create, edit, preview and render videos using your credits.

Which plans include the API and MCP?
The MCP connector is included on every paid plan, so you can drive MotionVid from Claude or Cursor on any of them. The developer API and its keys come with Ultimate and Creator. Both draw on the same credit balance as the app, so there is no separate developer plan to buy.
How long can my videos be?
There's no fixed limit. Say how long you want it in your prompt, or paste your full script or voiceover, and MotionVid builds the whole video with narration, music and sound effects. Videos of 10 to 15 minutes and longer work fine; longer videos just use more credits.
Can I use my own video, voiceover or music?
Yes. Upload a video you've recorded and MotionVid builds graphics on top of it. You can also upload a voiceover and the animation will be timed to your narration, or add your own music track. If you don't have narration, the AI can write and voice a script in any of 74 languages and add music for you.
Can I buy extra credits?
Yes. Credit packs are one-time top-ups that never expire, and they include extra video exports too. Buy them from your account or the pricing page, or upgrade your plan for more credits every month.
What's the difference between credits and video exports?
Credits are used when the AI creates or edits something. Exports are used each time you render a finished motion graphics video to download, so you can keep exporting even after your credits run out. AI video clips and images don't use exports.
How do I download my video?
In a motion graphics project, click Share / Export in the top right, choose your format and quality, and click Start Render, then download it when it's ready. AI video clips and images download straight away from their download button.

Can I change my plan after purchase?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect immediately and you pay the difference. A downgrade starts at your next billing cycle, and your current plan stays active until then.
Do I have access to all models?
Yes. Every paid plan includes Motion Graphics, AI Director, AI video and images. Higher plans add more credits and exports, higher resolutions and developer API access.
Can I get a refund?
Payments aren't refundable once processed. That includes unused credits and any time left on a plan after you cancel. If something went wrong with a generation, message us from the support chat with the project link and we'll look into it.
Where can I learn how to use MotionVid?
Our YouTube channel (@motionvidai) has step-by-step tutorials, and our Discord community is the fastest place to get tips and share what you make. For help with your account, message us from the chat on our support page.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your account, open Profile and click Delete account. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first. Your account is permanently deleted 30 days later, and signing back in before then restores it.
